Hellebores

These beautiful flowers bloom at a time when we need natural beauty most.

I am all about winter… in December. At first sight, I love the snow, the fire, the hot cocoa. But when February rolls around, I’m ready for the ice to melt. I know you’ve heard it before - the plight of those who live north of Zone 7 (at least until global warming changes things dramatically). Well, take hold when you look out into the snowy brush and see the awe-inspiring Hellebore (scientific name).

I bought a handful of these beauties last year - a couple from the local Oakland Nursery and four from (place where I. bought them).
